My Story

Hi, I’m Sophie.

I’m a qualified therapist and BACP-registered counsellor, as well as an author and storyteller. For over ten years, I’ve worked in the field of mental health, supporting children, young people, and adults to heal, grow, and thrive. And for as long as I can remember, I’ve been using the power of story to express what can otherwise feel inexplicable.

My book The Stay Home Superheroes reached children in more than 50 countries and 20 languages, and was featured in international media, but most importantly, it helped hundreds of thousands of children feel safe, connected, and empowered during the pandemic.

When I’m not writing my own stories, I create bespoke commissions for charities and organisations, run training and workshops for professionals, and mentor aspiring writers who want to learn how to craft their own therapeutic stories.
